In early May 2005, StarTrek.com.sg has sent a special memento to George Takei (Captain Hikaru Sulu, TOS) - two books titled The Singapore Story: Memoirs of Lee Kuan Yew and From Third World to First: The Singapore Story as a belated present for his birthday on 20 April.
We are pleased to inform all our Trekkies, especially those who have kindly contributed to the memento, that Mr Takei has sent us a Thank You Card !
What a delightful and weighty surprise!
I'm a great admirer of Lee Kuan Yew.
He worked the miracle of building a shining economic city state in a generation.
I've visited three times and seen dramatic changes each time.
How thoughful of you.
