StarTrek.com.sg organised a Trekkies contingent to take part in TNP Big Walk 2006, just like the last 2 years.
A number of Trekkies have signed up for the event which attracted over 55,000 participants this year.
Flag-off ...
Some Trekkies came as early as 6.00am so that they can park their cars inside the National Stadium before the roads were sealed off for the Big Walk.
Each Trekkies were given an arm-band with a MACO insignia, specially created by Trekkie Techmech, to distinguish ourselves as Star Trek fans. In addition, some Trekkies also worn Vulcan's pointed ears, as well as wearing Star Trek baseball hats.
After waiting for the late-comers, our Trekkies contingent started our long 10-km journey at about 7.45am.

TNP Big Walk Lucky Draw!
The most attractive part of the annual TNP Big Walk is none other than the grand lucky draw prize ... a brand new car!
After the 10-km walk, every participants returned to the National Stadium, and waiting for the Lucky Draw to be announced.
For the first 5 grand prizes, only those participants who were present would be qualify for the prizes. Hence if they were absent, their chance would be forfeited, and the prizes will be re-drawed.
As usual, it took almost an hour to re-draw winning numbers for the first few prizes. However, for the grand prize, the winner was born on the very first draw! Everyone cheer!

Lunch @ Funan
With McDonald's vouchers in the TNP Big Walk goodies bag, all Trekkies proceed to the nearby Funan IT Mall for lunch in 2 cars.
Later Trekkie CptJames also joined us for lunch as well at the McDonald's.
A lucky draw was conducted among the Trekkies taking part in the Big Walk 2006, and Trekkies Daleth was the winner. He won himself a vintage ST:TNG 1701-D Doornob Hanger!
