StarTrek.com.sg organized a friendly Paintball Tournament at the Singapore Discovery Centre on 10 September 2006, Sunday, from 11.30am to 1.30pm. We had also invited our partner MovieMania to participate in the Tournament.
We were pleased to see a number of Star Trek fans supported the Paintball Tournament, including Trekkies Garak, Sofyan, Techmech, Fahmi, Darkman, Jackle, Valdore, Josh, lhs1701, Dr EMH, Yvonne, Joran, and his friend Wei Kit, as well as fans from MovieMania Reno, Jason, Lynn, Timothy, David and Belvic.
Briefing
The Paintball instructor briefed all contestants on the safety of the game in the arena, as well as on how to use the Paintball rifle.
The effective range of the paintball is 10m, and players are not supposed to shoot the opponent if less than 3m.

Paintball Contestants
There were a total of 16 players, divided into 4 teams, with 4 players in each team.
There were 3 missions to compete with between 2 teams each round.

Mission 1 : Shoot the Balloon
The first mission was to shoot at the balloon of the opponent.
Each team can fire at the players of its opponent. When a player is being hit, s/he must return to the home base before coming back to the battle field.
However to win the game, the team must successfully shoot down the balloon located at the home base of its opponent.

Mission 2 : Capture the Flag
The second mission was to capture the opponent's flag.
Each team can fire at the players of its opponent. When a player is being hit, s/he must return to the home base before coming back to the battle field.
However to win the game, the team must successfully capture two out of three flags of its opponent hidden within the arena.

Mission 3 : The Elimination
The last mission is the simplest ... eliminate your enemy!
As this is last game, players are encouraged to exhaust all their magazines.
Each team will fire on the players of its opponent. When a player is being hit, s/he must exit the arena and cannot return to the battle field.
The team with the last survivor(s) will win the game.

Final Score
In the midst of the battles, we received a level-1 weather forecast warning - thunderstorm!
Fortunately the weather resumed to normal subsequently.
After a intensive challenge of over 1.5-hours, the final score is out.
Team 2 emerged as the Winning Team with an untouchable score of perfect 3 wins in a row! Congratulations!
Take note of the whiteboard ... it's "PAIN-ball", not "Paintball", hehe
