InnovatioNation Exhibition @ Singapore Expo

StarTrek.com.sg was invited by the 501st Legion (Star Wars) Commanding Officer GetzJedi to join force in the InnovatioNation Exhibition at the Singapore Expo, organised by the Infocomm Authority of Singapore (iDA), on 15 October 2006, from 1.00pm to 3.00pm, for a public costuming.

Several Star Trek costumers turned up for the appearance, including Trekkies Dr EMH, Unimatrix, lhs1701 and lanman.

From left: Trekkies Dr EMH (the fully-armed Klingon), Unimatrix (scanning the environment with his Tricorder), lanman (the 5-star Fleet Admiral), and lhs1701 (securing the parameters with his Phaser).

Starfleet Legion (Star Trek) vs 501st Legion (Star Wars)

For added security to the exhibition, the organiser has engaged two groups of bounty hunters, namely the 501st Legion from Star Wars and the Starfleet Legion from Star Trek, to secure the vicinity, patrol the hallways, detain and interrogate anyone who is found suspicious.

The Starfleet Legion from Star Trek ...

The 501st Legion from Star Wars ...

Warnings from the Klingon and Stormtrooper: "Trespassers will be executed ... on the spot!"

Give way to the 501st and Starfleet Legions ... coming through ...

Trooping @ Exhibition Hall

Boys and girls, this is a Meh'leth ... an elegant weapon, for a more civilised time!

Lelong ... two antique rotary-dial telephone set, and a high-tech 24th-century Commbadge, for sale!

How could one carry such a burden in battles? ... thumb down.

Worf calling Klingon homeworld, "Beam me back, Qo'noS!"

"You are tuning in FM 170.1, prepared to be assimilated ..."

Yesterday cellphone ... today handphone.
(Hey, who left his handphone here?)

Yesterday cellular phone ... future Tricorder!

Hmm, a primitive binary system communication device ...

The latest series of handphone models, each comes with a 2-year contract ...

The owner of the handphone is finally revealed ...

The visitors loved the Klingon, always!

Worf is being "assimilated" by the big pile of information overload.

Touch sensitive game ... let the fun begin, Qa'pla!

Oh my gosh, isn't this the "Beryllium Sphere" in the Galaxy Quest?

Hmm, my tricorder reading shows that it was constructed by the "Thermian".

Worf to Bridge, we have found a warp core!

Having fun with staff and crew ...

Starfleet Legion returning to backstage.

The Klingon was quite welcomed among the crew, staff and helpers at the Exhibition.

Charming ... see how happy the Klingon was.

it must be a chance of a life time taking a picture with a smiling Klingon.

Qa'pla! The success of the first image attracted more crew to join in for one last group photo ...

With so many people "squeezed" in, where's the Klingon huh?

iDA kindly provided a First Day Cover for its 25th Anniversary of Infocomm in Singapore to each Costumer at the Exhibition as a Token of Appreciation.

We like to express our gratitude to the 501st Legion for the invitation to appear at the iDA Exhibition, and we also like to thank all Star Trek fans for their active supports and participation.
