The Grand Opening of the new Cathay Cinema was held on 23 March 2006, Thursday, 6.00pm - 8.00pm.
Over 1,100 guests were invited to the Cathay Grand Opening, and 50 costumers were present to entertain the guests, together with many minders and caddies. Photographers equipped with Polaroid camera were taking instant photo for the guests with the costumers, and over 1,500 shots have been taken.
In Dressing Room
Most costumers were present about 4.00pm to start putting on their make-up, masks, costumes and props.

Final Briefing
At about 5.45pm, all costumers were ready, and were asked to line up for final briefing.

Happy Hour
At 6.00pm sharp, the show began. Costumers were deployed in batches, together with minders and photographers.

Final words ...
We would like to thank MovieMania for the invitation on the appearance of Star Trek characters at the Cathay Grand Opening. We would also like thank all Star Trek volunteers for their hard work. It's a job well done!
